Falafel easy and delicious – recipe 4

And here we bring you another recipe en route that we love! It’s about the chickpea burgers, or our version of the classic falafel easy and delicious. A recipe that is never missing in our van. The ingredients are easy to find and you can also add your personal touch without problems. What is needed is a blender or food processor, which in our case, is always present in almost all our dishes. The preparation is so easy and fast, that it is ideal to prepare at any time. There it goes!


· 250 gr. of soaked chickpeas (during a whole day in water).

· 1 onion

· 2-3 cloves of garlic (depending on how hot you like it)

· Cumin

· Salt

· olive oil

· Parsley (the original recipe is made with abundant parsley, it is very tasty, in this case we did not have parsley).


We whisk all the ingredients with patience and without adding the olive oil. If it costs a lot, add a little water, but without overdoing it, the important thing is that there is a compact mass so that we can knead it without problems.

Once beaten, with a spoon we take out balls of dough and give it the shape of mini-hamburgers or falafels, which we will place in the pan with a little oil, so that they are golden brown.

Once all the falafels cooked, we can accompany the dish with a rich salad, or present the falafels inside a hamburger bun … or whatever you like!

In addition, chickpeas are a food that should not be missing in our usual diet. They have so many properties, that they become the perfect ally for an iron health, and above all for those of us who are traveling and always moving from one place to another. As noted by the companions of Botanical Online, chickpeas stand out for their high protein content, so they are ideal for vegan and vegetarian diets. They contain a large amount of folic acid, necessary to take care of the heart and improve blood circulation. They bring us large amounts of minerals such as iron, zinc, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium.

When preparing this recipe with raw or sprouted chickpeas, it makes it better to preserve the properties of this powerful food. And in addition, they are delicious! We hope you enjoy them! : D
